Diploma in Applied Theatre
This online and offline integrated course helps students to explore various possibilities of getting engaged in a society in various different creative ways. This course develops an understanding towards the use of applied theatre in various fields such as Schools, NGOs, Corporate & Industries, Various Community Spaces, Prisons, Special Education Need etc. and also equip students with necessary skill sets. During this course students will develop an ability to handle a group of specific participants using various dramatic tools and involve them in a process of learning and exploration.

Course Details
The DAT course is a practice based five month long online and offline hybrid program. As a student, you have to attend nine days of total classroom training at Pune. Rest of the lectures, submissions and assignments, if any, to be done online. In this way working professionals can also join the program and can get engaged in practice while studying applied theatre. This course focuses on developing your understanding about applied theatre practices and provides a perspective to get engaged in the field of your interest. Students will learn in four different ways:
Workshop Space
Our workshop space is located at Pune, the cultural capital of Maharashtra. A well-equipped classroom, ample parking space and an inclusive space will help students to learn in a very supportive environment. Pune is very much approachable by road, bus, train or air connectivity.
Theory Courses
There will be few theory courses that students will attend online. This will help them to develop a deep understanding about the subject and gain perspective towards practice. It will also provide an opportunity to develop interest in research and publication.
Mentoring
A mentoring support is provided to all the students after several intervals. These mentoring sessions will help you as a student to be on the right path without any distractions. These will also help you to develop as a better human being as finally you have to work with people as an applied theatre facilitator.
Professional Practice
Each student has to complete a specific duration of Professional Practice during the course tenure. We consider Professional Practice as a very significant and essential part of the course. A Professional Practice will enhance your facilitation and improve your analytical skills. As a student, you will get a chance to work in your interest areas which will also help to decide your future roadmap.
